Elethron selected for UK Space Agency International Bilateral Fund project
Awarded £127,000 with Atmos Space Cargo to develop a physical emulator interface for scalable microgravity-R&D modules in quantum and advanced materials.
Elethron has been selected as part of the UK Space Agency's International Bilateral Fund Call 2, which supports UK-led international space collaborations. The Agency announced 23 new projects under the second round of the Fund, representing a £6.5 million boost for UK companies and universities working with international partners.
Elethron's project, Physical Emulator Interface for Scalable Microgravity-R&D Modules for Quantum and Advanced Materials, has been awarded £127,000 and will be delivered in collaboration with Atmos Space Cargo GmbH in Germany.
The project supports early-stage development of Elethron's integrated approach to microgravity materials R&D, combining computational engines with autonomous, space-based advanced materials fabrication laboratories designed to integrate with the emerging free-flyer supply chain.
For Elethron, the award provides a structured route to de-risk key interfaces between its Elethron Materials Lab concept and commercial return-capsule infrastructure, helping to build the technical foundations for future microgravity R&D services in advanced materials.
