Before founding Elethron, Hamid worked in boutique growth strategy and M&A advisory, including at Future Materials Group, where he advised advanced materials and specialty chemicals companies across aerospace, critical infrastructure, high-value manufacturing, and advanced optoelectronics.

He later joined the Satellite Applications Catapult, contributing to the UK and European space innovation ecosystem. There, he led strategic initiatives focused on techno-economic assessments for infrastructure investment, commercialisation strategy, and market development, with a particular focus on emerging in-orbit infrastructure. This included leading the development of the European Space Agency-backed Advanced Materials and In-Orbit Manufacturing Accelerator.

Hamid holds an MA in Political Science from SOAS University of London and received the Ken Robertson Prize from Aberystwyth University's Centre for International Security.
